Jeffrey Brock presents: Chart Interpretation–Theory & Practice
The rubber meets the road in astrology practice with the interpretation of the chart. Join Jeffrey Brock as he explores with us the theory and practice of the art of interpretation. The group will actually work with the charts of the people present (those lucky volunteers! ?) to explore the unfolding meaning of an individuals chart as it happens. Using easy to learn techniques, such as the ‘element/quality balance’, ‘dispositor pathways’ and the ‘eight phases’, we will move through as many charts as time allows. Some time will be allocated to the updating processes, i.e. – secondary progressions and transits, in deciding what are the important areas to focus on in a consultation.
BIO-Jeffrey Brock, C.A.P., C.ht. is the owner/director of the Astrological & Metaphysical Research Center in Miami, Florida. Jeffrey’s astrology career spans over 38 years, beginning with a 15 year intensive study under master astrologer Robert H. Ball of Coral Gables, Florida. His extensive training qualifies him to specialize in business and personal astrology as well as karmic, metaphysical, spiritual and relationship astrology. He has been practicing astrology professionally since 1976 and has been teaching in the field since 1978. Jeffrey has been a frequent speaker with the NCGR – Florida Atlantic Chapter and the S.F.A.A. - South Florida Astrological Association. Jeffrey has also specialized in ‘Medical Astrology’. Eric Meyers
Lecture:
Elements & Evolution: A New Classification of the Elements
In his book, Elements & Evolution, Eric presents a new way to see the 4 elements, and additional perspective which illuminates their evolutionary roles. Water and fire are classified as charged, and earth and air are neutral. This angle adds another dimension to their scope and functioning. We will explore the evolutionary purposes of all the major aspects from this perspective to more fully comprehend the great cycle around the zodiac. Elements & Evolution, and Eric's other books, will be available for purchase.
Workshop:
The Moon & Sun: From Darkness to Light
Drawing from his book, Between Past & Presence: A Spiritual View of the Moon & Sun, Eric will introduce a new angle in understanding the luminaries. This workshop will address the scope and functioning of the Sun and Moon--a look at these magnificent orbs from both the familiar psychological perspective, as well as their relevance to spiritual growth. A simple and elegant method of understanding the luminaries from this new angle will be applied to the charts of all interested participants. Eric will present an informative and entertaining Power Point presentation, but the bulk of the time will be reserved for discussion, participation with the material, and having fun! Come see how the Sun and Moon may have even more depth and meaning than previously imagined!
Bio:
Eric Meyers has an M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology (Naropa University in Boulder, CO), and is a graduate of the Steven Forrest Apprenticeship program. With a focus on spiritual awakening, he is forging a career as a unique voice for evolutionary growth. Eric released his fourth book, Elements & Evolution, in 2010. Other works include Uranus: The Constant of Change, and Between Past & Presence. Eric has lectured at several astrology conferences, and was recently featured in The Mountain Astrologer.

Priscilla Costello: Mastering The Art Of Prediction: Putting It All Together
Both astrology students and professionals need to develop two skills:
analyzing the natal chart and mastering the art of prediction. But the
latter is so complex, how do we integrate all the techniques to make
accurate and insightful judgments about times of crisis and/or
opportunity?
The morning session starts by reflecting on the idea of "prediction" and
then looks first at secondary progressions (day for a year), which reveals
"the evolving you". We'll check out lifetime secondary progressions,
especially Sun and Moon cycles and aspects. Then we'll consider the
secondary progressed chart in itself and in relation to the natal.
The afternoon adds layers of solar arc progressions, transits, and solunar
cycles (new/full moons and eclipses) onto the natal horoscope, showing how
to focus on what is important and synthesize combinations to be prepared
for times of challenge and change.
BRING AN EPHEMERIS OF THE 20TH CENTURY, if you have one, AND your charts
(natal, secondary progressed, and solar arc)!

Kathy Allen: Lunar Nodes: Past, Present, and Future
In the morning, we’ll look at a brief history of the lunar nodes and how an admitted blunder by a prominent astrologer has led to some of the current confusion and contradictions about the nodes. Using first principles we’ll develop a working delineation of the four nodal points and apply it to chart examples. Along the way we’ll look at latitude and the importance of planets near the zero degree line of the ecliptic where the nodes, angles and Sun are always found. We’ll also examine transits with a focus on the nodal points, which serve as superb predictive timers.
In the afternoon, we’ll use willing participants’ charts to examine nodal placement by house, sign, aspects and ruler, and assess nodal relevance to real life experience. By the end of the day we’ll have slain a few sacred astrological dragons; and participants will be in a position to decide for themselves, if the nodes, as some claim, are indeed the most important points in a chart.

James Braha: Analyzing horoscopes - The Hindu/Vedic method of predicting the Dharma
Celebrated author and educator James Braha teaches chart delineation, with an emphasis on current events, using basic Jyotish techniques. In this Hindu/Vedic astrology workshop, we will present fundamentals of the system and analyze as many horoscopes as possible. Special attention will be given to prioritizing features - from the most important to the least. I will also explain why certain textbook techniques work only very rarely, and some not at all.
